Dave discussed how to understand your credit score and keep vicious creditors from having too much influence in your life. Class Notes Never place creditors’ demands over your family’s basic needs. Take care of the Four Walls—food, shelter, clothing, and transportation—before you pay anything. Never attempt to dodge a bill, but make sure you prioritize your family over a barking creditor. A FICO score is an “I love debt” score—simply measuring how well you manage your debt. It is not a measure of your financial success. We learned the basics – readin’ – ‘riting – ‘rithmetic – (My spell checker is going berserk) J I learned about George Washington, Abe Lincoln, and Thomas Jefferson – you know, the founding fathers. I even learned how to invert the divisor and multiply using a chalkboard, just like my hero Glenn Beck. We didn’t have any calculators or computers back then. We had to think. Now I hear on the news that the liberals want to remove some of these conservative personalities from the school textbooks. UFF-DA !! Everything I learned was from Mrs. Bombeck. The Moslem has no problem accepting Jesus as an exceptional prophet and they accept the virgin birth and even allude to the immaculate conception of Our Lady Mary. Yet they emphatically deny the deity of Our Lord. We Catholics characterize Islam as a heresy formed from Mohammed's study of Judaism and Catholicism. 2/28/2010 6:08:04 AM MUSLIM RELIGION: Sally & I visited Central Park Christian Church at downtown Topeka KS. We listened to a guest speaker. This guest speaker was from Pakistan and grew up as a Muslim as a child. Sally & I were stunned! The Muslim faith is consuming our world. What are we Christians to do? PRAY – PRAY – PRAY I for one believe that the Muslim faith is the faith of the anti-Christ. I now understand why this faith believes it’s an honor to kill infidels. I guess I’m an infidel. Here was yesterday’s schedule (if you care) 9:15 AM – Physical Therapy @ St. Francis Hospital 1:00 PM – weekly father/son lunch (Chinese this week) 3:30 PM – Tenth Amendment referendum discussion at the statehouse 6:30 PM - Financial Peace University @ OSLC (week #2) In between all these events I needed to take lots of naps Sharing our FAITH with the folks by passing out our business card.. Listening to the speakers in the Supreme Court Room @ the State house is like trying to listen to announcements at the YMCA intercom. I understood maybe 10 % of what the speakers were saying. NEWS: 2/24/2010 5:29:17 AM We are running down the road rapidly to insolvency! This is the quote I just heard from Stuart Varney. Social Security is going bankrupt. The Federal government is trillions in debt. Our tax and spent “holics” need to start on the 12 step program to cure this disease. The OBAMACARE program will only increase our national debt. The federal programs have failed. So what’s the solution? PRAY Then we can look at our own life. Sally and I are leaders in Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace program here at our church. 2/3/2010 3:59:39 AM YMCA BIBLE STUDY: I attended the Topeka YMCA weekly bible study again last night. We had 5 in attendance this time. We talked about the bible of all things .. IMAGINE THAT! OK, I confess, I’m a Christian. If you give me grief, I’ll hit you over the head with my bible. Jerry Chase and I were co-workers together when I used to work at the Y here in Topeka KS. I left the Y after being downsized back in 2005. I gave my good buddy Gary Doucette a ride home after our bible study. Gary & I were fellow military comrades from the 190th USAF guard days. I could write a book about our experiences together. I might just do that someday. Our little YMCA bible study is growing! There’s hope. Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them. .. JC I’m still suffering from imbalance. I’m in physical therapy at St. Francis Hospital. If I were to be pulled over in a police lineup for sobriety testing, I’d fail. OH WELL myron@myownfaith2.com
